Tanzania Tuesdays | Boise Photographer

During our stay in Africa, we were able to visit a traditional Maasai village.  The Maasai people are semi-nomadic, owning large herds of cattle, sheep, and goats which they follow around seasonally in search of new grazing grounds and water sources.  When we arrived at the village, the tribe came out to meet us with a traditional song and dance and then led us back into their village.  The women in the tribe wore these very large, colorful beaded necklaces.  It was an incredible experience, and I even joined in on one of their competitions, which you’ll just have to tune in later to see :)
