As I mentioned in an earlier post, there really is no shade out in the Serengeti. So what did these little cheetah cubs do? Found shade wherever possible by crawling underneath the vehicles! This one actually got up on top of the tire. In fact, there were several cubs that crawled under the vehicles and we all could not drive away until they moved. Every now and then the mother, who was only a few yards away, would call out to see where her cubs were and they would answer back from their new found shade. Rachel and I just wanted to pick one up and take it home!
