Last night I had a great time photographing some of Erin and Kirk’s wedding reception. They got married up in Canada where Erin is from at the end of May, and had a reception here in Boise at the Basque Center. Before the actual reception started, I was able to take some shots with them around downtown.
Then the rest of the night was full of surprises! They started their first dance with “God Bless the Broken Road” and then about a minute in, they busted out choreographed dance moves to “Baby Got Back.” That certainly got a reaction out of the crowd! Then everyone at the reception was surprised with some traditional Basque dancing as some of the local dancers put on a wonderful performance. After all of that, the cover band Riff Raff rocked the house as people shook loose on the dance floor. It was a great time. Here are a few of my favorites.
